Edith Soto-Lopez hired as Latino Ministry Coordinator
The Northwest Conference is excited to announce that Edith Soto-Lopez is joining our staff as the Latino Ministry Coordinator. Her role will be to support our Latino pastors while seeking to expand Latino Ministry and plant additional Spanish-speaking churches. She will be serving with Greg Ellis, our Latino Ministry Liaison.
“Edith is a pastor and church planter with years of ministry experience. She is an international speaker with a huge heart for youth and empowering leaders,” Scott Nelson, NWC Associate Superintendent, said. “Edith has served tirelessly with Greg and me over the last year to help strengthen our Latino Ministry, and I am excited to see how Edith and Greg will move this ministry forward.”
Our Conference currently has eight Latino churches, with an additional church planting project and a few Latino churches prayerfully considering affiliation with the Covenant. A few of our English-speaking churches are working to start Spanish-speaking ministries or hire bilingual staff. Latino Ministry in the Northwest Conference is growing, and we are blessed to have Pastor Edith joining our staff to help lead us forward.
