With the continued variables and unknowns in front of us regarding COVID-19 and its direct impact on camp operations, BWCA group access and overnight use, and general public safety, the NWC has determined it necessary to cancel AIL for 2020.
With this decision we are particularly saddened for the students who will be missing out on the experience this year. Up until now, this has been an annual leadership investment in our high school students for 30 straight years. So, while we grieve this year’s loss, we also celebrate AIL’s legacy and pray that post-COVID we see another 30 years of AIL’s impact with our students.
