Stories from God’s Harvest: Community Covenant Church
“The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the Harvest to send more workers into His harvest field” (Luke 10:2).

Here is a “harvest story” from Community Covenant Church (Upasla, MN):
Pastor Steve Weihsmann at Community Covenant Church in Upsala, MN, shared how his church worked with 10 other churches in town to plan an evangelism event. They prayed, planned and raised money for over a year, working with a youth outreach ministry from Nebraska. Here is how Steve describes the event:
“It was the coldest week of the year, so we weren’t sure what to expect. The side of the gym set aside for the audience was packed. The band played, the speaker gave a clear and powerful gospel message followed by an invitation to surrender to Christ. Not everyone who came forward made a salvation commitment, but everyone took some step of faith. Ninety-nine people—most of them students—responded. They poured out of the bleachers to kneel on the floor before our Lord.
“We were amazed and humbled by the work of the Holy Spirit. Now we are following up, counselors touching base with counselees, respondents being matched up with churches for ongoing care, growth, and encouragement.”
